Job Description:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing an account portfolio of both existing and new customers, cultivating relationships, meeting sales objectives that are consistent with the company's strategic plan and maintaining customer retention.

Key Responsibilities

* Achieve or exceed sales goals within assigned portfolio year over year.

* Call on, train, and sell to dealer/distributor salespeople and buyers. Particular attention will be paid to buying group members where Vollrath is a preferred supplier.

* Establish brand awareness using all Vollrath resources including the home office team and field sales management personnel to strengthen relationships and increase sales.

* Manage all company marketing initiatives with portfolio customers.

* Document Account Portfolio activities in CRM.

* Co-operative marketing promotions, Concept, Auto Quotes, Cube, Vollrath Intranet, etc. Coops and Promotion Forms must be submitted before the event or program for which they are requested.

* Manage all company marketing tools including coop, promotions, Concept, Auto Quotes, Cube, Vollrath Intranet, etc.

Education & Experience

* A college degree with a focus on sales and business functions, preferred.

* Three years minimum experience in the food service industry. Prefer experience working with both equipment and smallwares items within the industry.

* Experience working with street levels sales up to executive decision makers, including dealers and end users, is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Excellent ability to prioritize and follow up.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to set goals and develop and carry out plans to achieve them.

* Proactive approach to problem solving, work independently, and take initiative.

* Set and maintain short- and long-term goals within the framework of the company's strategic plan.

* Ability and willingness to work outside of account base responsibilities when required.

* Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Dynamics, PowerPoint, PowerBI and Excel.

* Be professional in appearance and conduct in representing the Vollrath Company.

Working Conditions

* Overnights and non-traditional workdays are sometime required.

* Weekends and evenings may be required in some instances.
