Account manager for Airline catering company.

Client Details

Global catering company, it is active in segments such as airline catering, train catering, and international events catering. The company also provides services through its restaurants, bars, lounges, and hotels.

Description

  • Assist airlines in determining operational service needs. Interpret client requirements and set up flight requirements.
  • Control food flow timing with tray-setting and food-production. Ensure accurate setup of catering, stores, and bar requirements.
    • Coordinate catering specifications with clients. Provide timely reports and feedback on performance issues.
    • Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
    • Increase efficiency in flight coordinators rotation and equipment packing. Ensure flight coordinators are correctly handing over catering to aircraft crew.
    • Supervise processing times to prevent delays and ensure punctual delivery to assigned flights.
    • Manage, motivate, and assist flight coordinator and food packer teams.
    • Schedule, train, develop, discipline, appraise performance, and counsel team members.
    • Communicate operational information urgently to relevant departments.
    • Conduct monthly inventory and assist with menu changes and SPML specs.

Profile

  • 1-2 years of experience in related field or business development. In addition to 1-2 years of supervisor experience.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for managing relationships with department heads, clients, and team members, requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with restaurant, banquet, or event etiquette, guest relations, and service standards; airline catering knowledge preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and exceptional communication abilities, both written and oral.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills. Dedication to detail and customer service.
  • Proactive problem-solving and effective decision-making skills, capability to swiftly address deficiencies in respective departments.
  • Strong implementation skills with a focus on achieving results.
  • High level of self-organization and results orientation.
  • Willingness to travel and support other units as needed.
  • Associates degree preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
