Must have electrical engineering degreePosition Summary:The Account Manager is responsible for driving the expansion of sales with both existing and new customers. In this role, you will work to understand customer needs and identify motor solutions that complement their applications. This position involves active participation in sales, customer service, forecasting, monitoring account metrics, and collaborating extensively to create new opportunities for the department. Regular business travel (approximately 25%) is required to promote sales activities and provide customer support, typically within the United States, with some international travel within North America.Job Responsibilities:Sales Activities:
  • Pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers as outlined by the company's strategy.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with customer Purchasing and Engineering teams through frequent communication, including in-person meetings, virtual sessions, phone calls, and emails.
  • Collaborate with Management and Engineering teams to ensure success in meeting customer needs.
  • After comprehensive training, gain proficiency in the product portfolio and technical specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver corporate and technical presentations to customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend motor solutions that align with those needs.
  • Handle commercial negotiations and conduct contract reviews with customer purchasing teams.
Marketing Activities:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and trends, sharing findings within the department.
  • Investigate competitor and customer product strategies to remain informed.
  • Participate in customer supplier conferences and attend technical trade shows to discover new business opportunities.
  • Enhance department awareness of potential new applications for the products.
Account Management Activities:
  • Serve as the customer advocate by working closely with Management, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain detailed customer program information in the CRM system.
  • Establish and manage sales forecasts for assigned customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstock or understock issues while ensuring 100% on-time delivery, leveraging detailed program knowledge.
  • Resolve overdue accounts with professionalism and diplomacy using your established contacts.
  • Arrange and host customer visits to company facilities.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong sales and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills, both internally and with customers.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills to articulate product benefits.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Prior Automotive B2B sales experience is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid passport and driver's license.
