Throughout the Gardner family's ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.Superior Trim is looking for a customer service focused, outgoing professional to serve as Account Manager to one of our largest customers. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate assigned projects with the account and operations teams and company manufacturing locations
- Maintain relationships with customers by effectively promoting the culture and strengths of the company while functioning as a conduit for customer needs and concerns
- Support operational activities as customer liaison between Superior Trim plants and the customer, including but not limited to - quality issues and investigations, organize sorting and 3rd party sorting as required, and provide on-site communication, support to design, engineering requests in conjunction with Superior Trim corporate resources.
- Coordinate customer request for quotes with cross functional teams (Engineering, Costing, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Program Management)
- Track and grow new development opportunities as well as conquest opportunities within an assigned market
- Support internal cost reduction initiatives on an as needed basis
- Reporting: will report to the VP of Sales but with a dotted line to Operations Director
- Travel: 10-20% of the time or more depending on how the role develops
A successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in sales and customer service, servicing large accounts
- Previous experience in automotive or heavy truck supply chain, preferred
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally to various levels of stakeholders
