Responsibilities are performed with independent judgment with general management direction.Account Manager Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Account Manager is responsible for growing, developing, and maintaining relationships with specific end-users, vendors, architects, and designers while securing contracts, estimating and managing project costs and overseeing projects to completion with 100% customer satisfaction.JLG Core Value Expectations:Live with INTEGRITY - Reliably do the right thing.Operate with ACCOUNTABILITY - Take responsibility for your actionsCommunicate with CANDOR - Be open, honest and sincere.Win with TEAMWORK - Be collaborative as a team to achieve a common goal.Essential Function: Achieves bookings and sales goals•Become the customers go-to source as the expert in the industry.•Establish and cultivate relationships with End Users, Preferred Vendors, including Architects and Designers•Assist BDM in Developing, qualifying, and prospecting new account opportunities•Perform quarterly wellness and opportunity checks with customers.•Develop relationships within accounts that produces a commitment from various stake holders in the organization. •Effectively utilize CRM to individual and Company advantagePerforms project estimating for negotiated projects•Obtains accurate site measurements and prints with project information or specifications.•Negotiates pricing for materials and products from suppliers.•Utilizes automated estimating system to compile takeoff results.•Prepares completed proposals through system and presents to decision makers.•Effectively and consistently obtains depositsManages projects through to completion while effectively controlling cost•Visits job sites when appropriate to ensure project is executed within quality, time, and budget.•Manages OMNI report daily and takes corrective action as needed to keep project on budget.•Utilizes available resources to stay current with industry changes and trends.•Ensures all project folders are accurate and filed properly.•Manages cash on projects for customers and serves as collection resource.•Provides accurate material needs to purchasing and timely work orders to operations.Performs all necessary administrative responsibilities as required•Ensures all database entries to the CRM are completed accurately as a daily discipline•Prepares all New Business proposals thoroughly and accurately, utilizing established forms and computer programs•Prepares all estimates, bids, and work orders utilizing established forms and programs.Achieves complete customer satisfaction on all installation projects•Approaches each customer interaction as a marketing opportunity for JLG.•Maintains continuous, open communication with Business Development Managers and Field Superintendents.•Responds to all customer requests and problems with a competitive urgency.•Builds professional relationships with current and prospective customers.•Ensures projects are completed with top-quality performance.•Follow up after all projects are completed to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.Adheres to all personal requirements•Always maintains an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.•Adheres to all JLG policies and procedures.•Approach the business with a positive, CAN DO attitude.•Demonstrates true commitment to the Company and the responsibilities of the position.•Sets high goals and standards of performance - strives for excellence.Competencies Required: •Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written)•Detail oriented•Conflict management•Problem-solving•Relationship building•Critical thinking•Time and prioritization managementEducation/Knowledge/Skills Requirements (minimal):•College Degree preferred•Knowledge of division 9 products and materials preferred•Knowledge of construction estimating procedures•Ability to effectively manage construction projects•Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate long and short-range goals•Ability to build and maintain relationships•Sales initiative/background•Background check with no issuesWork Environment:Office setting and Client site (inclusive of construction site)Physical Demands:Office setting and Client site (inclusive of construction site)Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkSalary plus commission - flexible hours that ensure outcomes/drive to solutionsTravelCustomer sitesMinimal to no overnight travelOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
