Job Summary

The Account Manager plays a key role in maintaining and growing established accounts while fostering strong carrier and customer relationships. This position involves managing customer needs, providing solutions, and ensuring smooth and efficient communication and service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provide quotes for full truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and intermodal shipments to support new customer development.

- Maintain and manage account relationships, ensuring successful booking, tracking, and order updates.

- Leverage industry insights to inform customers of market trends and identify growth opportunities.

- Deliver excellent customer support and handle claims or disputes effectively.

- Serve as a key point of contact between the customer and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

- Create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for new accounts.

- Monitor carrier performance, pricing trends, and lane history.

- Build and expand carrier and warehousing relationships, especially for export drayage.

- Support new business development by fostering relationships with current shippers and receivers.

- Assist with quarterly RFPs, customer invoicing, and payment tracking.

- Conduct cost analysis and provide support for smaller accounts.

- Collaborate with the sales team on administrative tasks and initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

- Preferred experience in logistics or supply chain roles, including freight brokerage or 3PL.

- Flexibility to work 8 am–5 pm and additional hours as needed.

- U.S. work authorization preferred.
