What does the Experitec Account Manager do? An Account Manager is responsible for the growth of the organization. Account Managers act as the voice of our customers and work to improve the customers' businesses by applying Emerson / Experitec solutions and services. Our customers are largely manufacturing facilities and in mid-stream Oil & Gas Distribution. Account Managers are expected to grow profit and revenues in their book of business by leveraging the multitude of resources available to them including specialized Emerson / Experitec sales personnel, best-in-class products, and acquisition content. This position is part of our Sales team and reports to the Director of Sales. Position title will be Account Manager Western Kansas. Position will be on the road visiting customers three (3) days a week. Frequently working from home Mondays & Fridays. Overnight stays estimated 2-3 nights a week (dependent on location of residence and distance to customers). Experitec's closest physical office is in Lenexa, KS and this position will travel there approximately twice annually for meetings and training. Relocation may be available. Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Associate degree OR high school diploma with two or more years of relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of professional work experience.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Outlook email, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work on the road at customer sites 50-60% per week and personal home office Monday and Friday from 8am-5pm and to occasionally work additional hours upon request.
- Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass driving record background check.
- Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested by supervisor for work travel.
- Ability to independently travel domestically up to 50%-60% of the time including overnights and weekends as needed. Flexibility to travel with little notice to meet customer needs.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in manufacturing and data center environments with shifting and extreme temperatures, varying work heights and varying noise levels.
- Ability to wear PPE as appropriate for potential environmental hazards.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree OR associate degree.
- Two or more years of sales experience.
- Five or more years in similar related sales or manufacturing industry.
- Experience in customer account management; growing revenues and profits.
- Proficient in forecasting and crafting/executing a business plan.
- Proficient in using CRM to build and maintain a strong sales funnel.
