Job Overview The Accounts Receivable Clerk compiles and maintains accounts receivable records.
Job Responsibilities - Process daily lockbox payments.
- Reconcile customer payments.
- Process received checks.
- Balance cash receipts to general ledger.
- Manage customer payment discrepancies.
- Communicate with brokers, sales, customer service and customers regarding payment discrepancies and past due invoices.
- Resolve customer P.O. discrepancies with customer service and/or customers.
- Communicate with drivers/carriers in an effective and timely manner.
- Manage customer remittance data to ensure efficient processing of transactions.
- Process authorizations of customer promotional deductions and expenditures.
- Work with the Credit Manager to process customer accrual transactions.
- Facilitate the monitoring, hold and release of customer orders, as well as the customer billing process.
- Research deductions and make corrections.
- Assist Credit Manager with deduction management.
- Print and process samples for all plants.
- Assist with special projects, as necessary.

Required Education and Experience - High School diploma or GED.
- 1 year or more of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience - Associates' Degree or higher.
- 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience or more.
- Proficient in SAP.
- Prior Manufacturing Accounts Receivable experience.
Working Conditions • Work is performed in an office setting. • Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
