Job Title: CollectorBenchmark Auto Sales is a locally-owned Lease Here Pay Here dealership, dedicated to providing our customers with reliable vehicles and financing options tailored to their needsWe value customer relationships and strive to deliver excellent service with a friendly, understanding approach.Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collector to join our teamThe Collector will be responsible for managing customer accounts, contacting customers for payments, resolving overdue accounts, and maintaining positive relationshipsThis role requires strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and manage assigned customer accounts to ensure timely payments.- Contact customers by phone, email, and mail regarding overdue payments, payment arrangements, and account status.- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and account statuses.- Provide customer service by answering account inquiries, resolving disputes, and assisting with payment plans.- Collaborate with the sales and underwriting team to provide updates on customer payment history.- Conduct skip-tracing activities to locate customers when necessary.- Work with the repossession team to initiate repossession procedures when required.- Adhere to all company policies, local regulations, and fair debt collection practices.- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.Qualifications:- Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related role is preferred.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.- Ability to handle difficult conversations while maintaining a professional demeanor.- Familiarity with auto loans, lease here pay here programs, or finance is a plus.- Basic computer skills and ability to use collections software.- High school diploma or equivalent.What We Offer:- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.- Health benefits- Paid time off.- A supportive and collaborative work environment.
