Purpose:Prospects and confirms new business for incentive travel programs, meetings or group travel. Manages the workflow, ensuring the budget of the travel reward product as presented to the client is efficiently prepared, accurate, and competitively researched and priced for clients' acceptance. Ensure the department(s) responsibilities are fulfilled, satisfying the company's goals in sales and profitability. Representing the principles and mission statement of the company in all interactions with clients and sales prospects.

Reports To: Director of Sales

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify and confirm new business to Landmark that falls within the corporate guidelines for qualified business
  • Present Landmark to potential clients in a manner that adheres to Landmark's corporate philosophy, purpose, and goals
  • Manages same accounts to the point of ensuring all accounts resell for the next year
  • Ensures the time frames of the proposals are met, inclusive of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ensures the department(s) resources are being utilized in a productive and efficient manner
  • Maintains client contact and follow-up on sales and throughout the life of the program from sales through execution
  • Sales and client site travel as selectively necessary
  • Destination travels as selectively necessary
  • Responsible for all proposal product presented to clients while ensuring the accuracy of verbiage, inclusions, and pricing
  • Weekly reportability with management regarding the pursuit of new business and finalizing of sale
  • Reviews the sold programs with in-house teams, ensuring all details are complete for transition to the Purchasing, Air and Operations departments, and follows-up with any additional items needed to meet the complete satisfaction of the client
  • Works with industry suppliers to foster good relationships while always presenting Landmark with principled ethics. Including attendance at industry events and trade shows for familiarization of all products and supplier representatives
  • Negotiates as needed with suppliers to achieve best advantage in pricing for client's interest and to keep Landmark competitive in the market

Job Skills Required:

  • Travel industry and international destination knowledge preferred
  • Incentive travel and meetings orientation preferred

  • Strong ability to prospect and identify new sales opportunity
