$40,000 - $60,000 USDHow This Position Contributes to the TeamAccount Specialists at the Water Environment Federation (WEF) are the customer-facing professionals who manage projects for the Sales and Business Development Department. For WEF to achieve its organization's revenue goals, the Specialists are flexible professionals who can be deployed against sales or new business development projects. In this position, you will focus on prospecting, account development, and outreach to customers. Your role is also to be the key customer contact within the Department for customer relationship management as projects and programs develop for all WEF commercial products, either in sales and customer success or new business development.NOTE: This position is only open to hybrid work - approximately 80% remote work, 20% in-office work (Alexandria, VA).Principal Functions:
- Responsible for customer relationships for exposition space in WEFTEC or other expositions.
- Responsible for customer relationships sponsorships in WEFTEC or other expositions.
- Ability to work in several projects in support of Directors, Account Executives in both sales and business development.
- Collaborates and Serves Media and Smaller Conferences Customer needs.
- Responsible for follow up for the account from prospecting to sale.
- Required to work in our CRM system.
- Required to work WEF events or other sold products and act in service of our customers.
- Ability to do research, prospect and deliver actionable information to the Directors & Managing Director for Sales or New Business Development.
- Required to do phone, and other sales outreach daily.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, or equivalent systems experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales.
- Focus on detail and reporting.
- Ability to multi-task within existing systems and platforms.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to interact with customers on the telephone, email, and other media in a productive and professional manner.
- Intermediate interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work towards goals for the organization.
- Openness to the delivering the best customer service.
- Ability to work towards a revenue goal and achieve that goal.
This person will work primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment.
