Summary:An industry leading Ocean Transportation company is looking to hire an Account Specialist. This is a full-time permanent position that offers benefits from day 1.Responsibilities:* Oversee account performance and growth, focusing on business retention and development.* Build strong client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.* Collaborate with sales, commercial teams, agencies, and domestic/overseas offices to secure new business and maintain service quality.* Manage a structured call cycle with assigned accounts as per management standards.* Oversee service contracts, processing renewals per sales management timelines.* Keep customer records up to date per Sales Standards (e.g., account profiles, contact details).* Address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.* Assist in problem-solving for customers and support Account Executives.* Support sales objectives by analyzing leads, competitor data, and reports to target key/new accounts.* Stay informed on tariff and rate changes, coordinating with Pricing and other offices.* Utilize company systems and tools (e.g., Stars Tariff, Sales & Marketing Reports, Trade Database) in daily tasks.Job RequirementsQualifications:* 2+ years of customer service, sales, or sales support experience in the Ocean Transportation industry* Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook* Ability to travel domestically if necessary* Excellent communication skills
