POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Strategist/Sr Sales Planner plays a strategic role in our sales organization with a primary focus on providing their assigned sales team with business insights, expertise, and proposal generation for all NCM assets including programmatic, in theater and third party platforms. This is a solutions-oriented role requiring effective communication skills and a willingness to learn. This position is responsible for customer service for our sales teams as well as clients. They will communicate with multiple internal and external teams to ensure accuracy of proposals, kick off and troubleshoot programmatic campaigns while working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining proper processes to ensure efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Generate and calculate accurate proposals inclusive of deal IDs for multiple account directors supporting national, local, and programmatic sales teams
  • Develop and maintain the highest level of communication with Sales Management and experienced Sales team to keep proposals competitive while managing pricing and inventory parameters
  • Function as sales daily resource for transactional programmatic process and activation questions.
  • Serve as day-to-day transactional contact with SSP Account Management teams and oversee internal account operations for SSP initiated deal ID requests
  • Communicate with clients, DSPs and SSPs to ensure seamless kickoff of programmatic campaigns and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maximize programmatic campaign performance and revenue by providing regular insights to clients and sales detailing delivery and performance, recommending optimizations including bid guidance, & proposing new opportunities
  • Prepare, analyze, and provide sales team with campaign insights to assist in identifying future programmatic sales opportunities
  • Participate in client communication as it pertains to questions regarding proposals and campaign pacing.
  • Complete Programmatic RFIs for agency and brand clients and populate agency digital required templates.
  • Collaborate with team and managers on ideas that could help improve or create new processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • 3+ years related business experience necessary. Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing or related-field industry a must.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in digital media.
  • Programmatic experience at a SSP, DSP, Agency, or Publisher is a requirement.
  • Highly proficient to strong skills in Microsoft Excel/Access with proficiency in other MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical ability with media math skills and familiarity with digital media industry terminology.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced, high stress, high volume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to retain detailed information as it pertains to products, pricing, availability, guidelines, processes, personnel, and account management.
  • Ability to take initiative and apply critical thinking when problem-solving.
  • Passionate attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills with all levels of staff.
  • Must be self-starting, flexible, and be able to work independently with confidence.
  • Must be highly trainable, willing to learn, and demonstrate a desire for growth.

Experience and Training: Any combination of the following experience and training (designated as required and/or preferred) that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Experience: 3-5 years of related business experience necessary; Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing or related field a must. Management/mentorship experience preferred. Education: College degree or equivalent experience in advertising, media, sales, or related field.
