THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for the accounting control of funding related to resident accounts, sources of the home's income, and expenditures. This includes preparing reports related to the status of accounts, monitoring open commitments, and initiating corrective action if funds are insufficient to cover the projected expenditures. You will ensure invoice payments are processed accurately and completely, audit documents to minimize errors and avoid delays, assist procurement professionals with the resolution of complex issues, and assist more experienced accounting professionals with functions and processes to ensure appropriate and maximum utilization of financial resources as well as accurate accounting for Medicaid costs. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

+ Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting;or
+ A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting;or
+ One year as a Fiscal Technician, and fifteen college credits in accounting;or
+ One year as a Financial Programs Trainee;or
+ Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program.
