Our client, a leading company in material handling solutions market, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective organizational and time management skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Financial Controller (Accountant)**
**Location: Terrell, TX (onsite)**
**Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 / year (negotiable)**
**Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire**
**Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm**
**What's the Job?**
+ Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in ledgers and accounting software, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, track and analyze financial data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, as well as with fiscal regulations (specifically Sales Tax).
+ Stay updated on changes in financial and fiscal regulations and advise on necessary adjustments
+ Together with external CPA, prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
+ Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports **,** and assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting and compliance documentation.
+ Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
+ Monitor and manage vendor and customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and collections; investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
+ Assist in the preparation of audits and collaborate with auditors.
**What's Needed? (Required)**
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
+ Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
+ Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks) and Microsoft Excel
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
