Prepares financial reports, invoices, schedules, and/or statements. Completes journal entries. Reviews, analyzes, and approves expenditures. Determines fund balances. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and procedures.Additional Department Summary: The Accountant I will assist management with the Facilities and Construction departments operating budgets and related accounting functions. This process includes reporting and conducting research as necessary, as this position works with a variety of stakeholders across campus. This position will also be responsible for the processing/entering vendor utility bills in the EnergyCap utility software.Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related financial field.Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in working with personal computers and standard application software.Background Investigation Statement: Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
