+ Two (2) or more years of experience working with FLAIR.
+ A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Due to the job duties of this position, the work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

We anticipate the starting annual salary for this position to be $40,000.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of the methods of data collection. Knowledge of banking practices. Knowledge of banking offsets and adjustments. Knowledge of and ability to use FLAIR. Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to prepare financial statements and reports. Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records. Ability to analyze and interpret banking and/or accounting data. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulation policies and procedures relating to an accounting system. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to independently analyze and use problem-solving techniques. Ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team structure.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
1. Process funds deposited / receipts into the Treasury daily.
+ Monitor deposits received from agencies.
+ Match the deposits to the agency's deposits entered in FLAIR. If the deposit number and amounts agree, verify the transaction by updating the status of the deposit entry in FLAIR to V . Perform the matching process daily in a manner so that all agencies' deposits have been sufficiently worked.
+ Contact the appropriate agency to resolve discrepancies when deposited amount and FLAIR input amounts do not agree.
+ Identify and research stale dated bank transactions that have not been verified in FLAIR. E-mail each agency a list of outstanding deposits on a weekly basis.
+ Assist with Fiscal year-end DOR deposit upload.
+ Ensure deposits are verified within established time frame and that a minimum of 85% of all Treasury Concentration account deposits are verified within a minimum of 4 days of the bank deposit date. Established time frame is not exceeded for outstanding deposits over 45 days.
+ Review FLAIR reports and notate manually verified deposits for semi-manual reconciliation.
2. Assist the Accounting Systems Analyst (43001132) with the following processes:
+ Monitor UC and Current Day EFT Notifications in PALM updating transactions as funds are received by the financial institution to ensure transactions are prepared and ready for posting prior to the FLAIR 3:00 p.m. closing daily.
+ Perform Treasury Concentration Account cash positioning activities between the financial institution and the Treasury Investment Section by analyzing bank data and reports by 8:00 a.m. daily.
+ Enter Inter-Bank wire transfer data into PALM executed by the Investment Section.
+ Perform PALM end-of-day close for transactions submitted to Central FLAIR for processing prior to 3:00 p.m. daily.
+ Analyze CRA cash position and perform investment or disinvestment procedures in SPIA based on the account balance by 10:30 a.m. daily.
3. Assist the Accounting Systems Analyst (43001132) with the ordering of Concentration Account deposit tickets, deposit stamps and deposit bags for state agencies within 2 days of request. Review supply orders upon receipt for accuracy and distribute.
4. Assist the Accountant III (43001059) position as a backup for the various duties.
+ Perform task pertaining to the deposit adjustments verification and wire reconciliation in PALM.
+ All other tasks as needed.
5. Perform other tasks as directed within the Cash Management Section.
