Prestigious real estate management company seeks an Accountant with strong experience in tax matters. Responsibilities include preparing quarterly reports to the Board of Directors, quarterly distributions, responding to requests from auditors, preparing annual budgets, correspondence with federal and state tax authorities. The successful candidate will have CPA certification and/or experience in the real estate industry, and the ability to function effectively in highly demanding environment. Summary of the Position: The Accountant is responsible for preparing annual budgets, quarterly distributions and quarterly reports, responding to requests from auditors for necessary information, assisting with tax matters, as well as any and all other accounting tasks, duties and responsibilities required for the satisfactory fulfillment of the position, in accordance with departmental and management needs. II. General Responsibilities: Prepare and review quarterly reports for the Board of DirectorsPrepare quarterly distributionsPrepare documents for auditors and respond to their requestsPrepare annual budgetsPrepare weekly wire transfers and wire summary III. Measures of Accountability: In accordance with the guidelines described above, the Accountant will be held responsible for the following expectations: Preparing New York State LLC filingsPrepare estimated tax payments Provide assistance and support to accounting managers and executives Provide financial information to mortgagees IV. Hiring Specifications: CPA and/or Minimum 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a real estate or property management firmStrong communications skills (verbal & written)Strong computer skills (Word, Excel) preferredBA in Accounting; Finance; Business Administration, or a related areaHighly developed organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to function effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented work environment
