With a strong company culture built on a family atmosphere, we define success by how we impact the lives of the people around us.Job Summary:The Accountant will support month-end close and reporting initiatives of the Finance Department. Under the direction of the Controller, the Accountant will help to prepare monthly balance sheets and participate in month end close.The Accountant also supports finance leadership with key accounting functions, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, Month-End and Quarter-End close, Account Reconciliations and general accounting tasks.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Customer Setup, Invoicing & Accounts Receivables
  • Setting up new customers in the accounting system and generating customer invoices with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Create monthly customer statements, manage past due communications, and maintain various customer invoice submission platforms.
  • Collect payments from customers and accurately record into accounting system.
  • Reconcile customer invoice details to internal and external systems.
  • Functions as the main point of contact for accounts receivable for both internal and external parties.
Accounts Payables
  • Prepare weekly vendor payment lists.
  • Verify and complete the payment of bills associated with accounts payable, ensuring appropriate approvals.
  • Ensure payments are recorded to the appropriate accounts.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any accounts payable-related inquiries.
  • Function as the main point of contact for accounts payable for both internal and external parties.
Payroll Coordination
  • Prepare and submit payroll timecards to the Payroll Specialist.
  • Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and work with the Payroll Specialist to resolve them.
  • Assist payroll specialist with paying for payroll liabilities and related reconciliations.
General Accounting
  • Assist project teams with various reports, AR aging updates, and filling out vendor credit applications.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Performs general accounting, cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
