Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to month end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial data is in compliance with GAAP.
- Review monthly financial statements of multiple entities to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Research variances in key account balances and explain variances between actuals and budget.
- Assist with shared service accounting functions including general ledger accounting, corporate accounting, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, etc..
- Ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures and incorporate procedural improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Create ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis as required to support business objectives.
- Assist with annual financial and internal control audits.
- Provide on-going support to various business partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with minimum of 2-3 years of applicable experience.
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks for business
- In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- CPA candidate highly preferred.
- Public accounting audit experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing accounting environment preferred.
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work a minimum of a 40-hour work week with additional time as required.
- Some travel required
