Caterpillars Advanced Components Manufacturing (ACM) is seeking an Accountant in Mossville, IL. This highly motivated individual contributor will provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis as directed by management.

**What You Will Do:**

+ Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.

+ Creating reports on financial performance and providing insightful analysis for internal and external use.

+ Provide monthly, quarterly and annual period cost analysis

+ Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.

+ Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results

**What Skills and Experience You Will Need:**

+ **Education/Experience:** This position typically requires a Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, or business related degree and **3** + years of job related experience.

+ **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

+ **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

+ **Effective Communications** : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ **Managing Multiple Priorities** : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

+ **Problem Solving** : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

+ **Accounting** : Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

+ **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

+ **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

**Top Candidates Will Also Have:**

+ Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills

+ Initiative, good judgement and accountability

+ Ability to resolve issues independently and take ownership of responsibilities

+ Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power Query, and Power Automate

**Additional Details** :

+ Location: Mossville, IL

+ This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office

+ Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

+ Less than 10% travel
