St. Marys College of Maryland at Historic St. Marys City is accepting resume s for the part-time contingent position of Accountant. The major responsibilities include the following: assist in preparation of fiscal year end closing procedures, year-end required journal entries, work with independent financial audit firm, and various other accounting job functions as assigned. St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public honors College, is located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. Bachelors degree in Accounting. Minimum of two years of accounting experience; an understanding of principles of accounting, including fund accounting, GASB regulations and GAAP for higher education; Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assigned work to meet deadlines.
