Role:- Accounting Analyst- Full Time W2 Location:- New York City, NY Salary:- $50,000 - $70,000 Responsibilities:-
- Provide accounting support by preparing and posting journal entries to the Firm's General Ledger (Sage Intacct) and Subledger (Broadridge ShadowSuite).
- Support the broader firm finance function covering external reporting, tax requests, financial planning, and related functions.
- Review customer deposit and withdrawal requests, submitting them for approval by the Treasury Supervisor.
- Assist with daily cash balance and security position reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and maintaining relevant documentation.
- Contribute to the production of End of Day activity files, ensuring accurate reporting of cash balances and security position data.
- Adhere to monthly reporting schedules across the accounting, treasury, and operations teams.
Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required.
- Proficiency in financial reporting concepts including journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements.
- Interest and ability to understand financial transactions types including the movement of cash/investments as well as earning revenues and incurring expenses.
- Passed the FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams or willingness to pass both within 3 to 6 months of hire (company-sponsored).
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus.
