The Accounting Analyst assists in the accounting, planning, reporting, and analysis of assigned business activity for the company. This role performs GAAP-compliant accounting and controls for assigned areas and provides support to business partners in budget development and management. Job Description. Prepare required recurring analysis, including an explanation of variances and recommendations for finance/business partners. Partners heavily with key stakeholders to gain deep insight into assigned areas. Collaborate with business partners and gain a full understanding of the business context to better anticipate potential issues, explain variances, and support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. This includes but is not limited to gathering and sharing data in assigned areas, and providing prior period and budget vs actual comparison of results.
