This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company with room for career growth and development.Position Overview:The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Perform data entry for invoices, purchase orders, and receipts into the accounting software system.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate tracking of hours, overtime, and deductions.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Assist with the preparation of sales tax returns, and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related financial transactions is a plus.
