Summary/Objective (role description):Accurately organize, summarize, and verify financial transactions / data for preparations of financial statements and Accounting records. Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary):Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage month end close process including journal entry preparation.Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis.Develop and execute administrative and financial systems process improvements.Assist in annual budget process including budgeted financial statements.Cost management: Plan, study, and collect data to determine cost of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability or services.Manage and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.Manage accounting staff responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing and fixed assets.Support departmental activities to achieve separation of duties, including being back up for most areas.Maintain General Ledger and user defined statements.Assist in preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.Coordinate annual physical inventory if applicable and oversee internal audit of quarterly cycle counts. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related experience and three (5) years related experience.Knowledge of applicable accounting rules and regulations (GAAP).Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers.Proficient personal computer and system software skills, Advanced Excel, Epicor/CMS (or equivalent - AS400 a plus).
