- Learning and understanding the reasons behind the firm's policies and procedures

- Representing BRC in a professional manner during all client interactions
- Starting to acquire skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty
- Entering information from financial statements into HUD's REAC system
- Developing competencies in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
- Completing necessary continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for Government Auditing Standards as applicable.
- Displaying necessary technical skills to complete assigned work needed for client deliverables under the direction of senior, supervisor, managers and others
- Becoming familiar with the services BRC provides to the clients they are assigned to
- Adequately preparing workpapers for assigned work
- Consistently performing a self-review of prepared work to ensure accuracy
- Assuming responsibility for completion of assigned tasks, under supervision of more experienced staff, supervisors and managers
- Carrying forward new experience from one assignment and applying it forward on upcoming assignments
- Effectively communicating status of assigned work with those you are assigned to work with and monitoring budgeted and actual time spent on each assignment.
- Communicating effectively with other staff and supervisors
- Meeting time constraints and internal deadlines
- Completing time entry accurately and in a timely manner
When assigned primarily to A&A engagements:
- Performing various procedures relating to compliance testing and auditing procedures
- Performing support work for EBP (Employee Benefit Plans)
- Becoming proficient at preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with standards and client requests
- Assisting with financial statement engagements or segments of audits under the supervision of more experienced staff.
When assigned primarily to Tax engagements:
- Preparing 1040s
- Proficiently preparing less complex corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary or other tax returns
- Obtaining a working knowledge of research techniques and various research sources available to the firm
RequirementsQualifications:- Prefer min. Associates degree in business or accounting or equivalent work-related experience in a related business field- 0-3 years' office administrative experience - Proficiency in use of computers and accounting-related software programs- Valid driver's license and good MVR Essential Physical Requirements:- Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding 5-7 hours per day- Fine hand manipulation using calculator 1-3 hours per day- Travel, as needed
