What the Bookkeeper role will offer you:
As a Bookkeeper you will work in-person as part of a team of professionals who are committed to delivering quality service to individual and business clients.
You will be focused on daily responsibilities of our clients' bookkeeping engagement such as transactions posting, using online pay systems to pay bills, bank reconciliation, and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable. We are a firm which is focused on providing the best service to our clients, therefore we are looking for someone who is a strong problem-solver, has an aptitude for numbers, and is eager to interact with clients. Your organization and reliability will keep the flow of work moving smoothly throughout the client engagement.
The responsibilities of a Bookkeeper will include but are not limited to:
* Assisting with processing clients' financial information
* Utilizing accounting software programs, particularly QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct, to process business transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, and post them in appropriate categories
* Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank and credit card accounts, and loan accounts
* Generating and analyzing updated financial statements
* Creating reports for 1099s, W2s, and any other year-end requirements
* Assisting accountants with client projects
* Analytical skills and attention to detail
* Utilizing effective written and verbal communication skills externally with clients, and internally with colleagues and managers
* Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
* Keeping up with QuickBooks updates and seeking different programs and software for efficient bookkeeping
Qualifications
* Proven accounting experience, preferably as a bookkeeper or similar role in a CPA firm or accounting department
* Experience with payroll and sales tax processing/filing
* Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting concepts
* Proficiency in software such as MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online
* Outstanding work record
* Organized and dependable self-starter that can manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
