Job Overview The AccountingClerk/Bookkeeper will be responsible for performing routine clerical tasks, including processing, and recording transactions, filing, and other duties, as needed. To be successful in this role, one should be have an understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel. One should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides support to the department
- Performs basic office tasks, i.e. filing, data entry, processing the mail (incoming and outgoing, etc.)
- Prepares and issuing purchase orders, sales orders, and agreements
- Prepares requisitions for management approval
- Tracks orders to ensure timely delivery; receives incoming deliveries, compares packing slips to PO; delivers to appropriate person/department
- Maintains accurate inventory and procurement records; generates reports as needed
- Vendor correspondence
- Identifies prospective suppliers/vendors, requests quotes, negotiates best pricing, purchase terms and conditions; ensures timely deliveries; resolves supply issues or discrepancies
- Complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Performs all other duties as necessary or assigned

- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

- Associate degree in related field with experience as an Accounting Assistant t or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
