POSITION SUMMARY: As an Accounting Clerk, you will support our seed contract and business management operations at ADM. This role involves managing contracts, invoices, and settlements using JD Edwards and Microsoft Office. Key responsibilities include processing seed stock assessments, coordinating with state agencies, maintaining accurate records, and handling financial settlements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in administrative tasks. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: + Manage and process contracts, invoices, and settlements, including seed stock assessments and advance payments. + Utilize JD Edwards to handle seed stock and contract data, ensuring accuracy and compliance. + Coordinate with state crop improvement agencies for field applications and map entries, adhering to state deadlines. + Maintain an organized filing system and assist with harvest labels and facility preparation. + Verify and review scale tickets, settlement data, and germination results. + Process credit invoices and final settlements, balancing accounts and reviewing AR balances weekly. + Print and distribute settlement checks/invoices to producers and handle quarterly Seed Indemnity and Bean Tax entries. + Support origination teams with producer inquiries. + Assist with scale house operations and probe tasks during peak seasons. + Perform backup duties and cross-train other administrative staff. + Maintain QA office housekeeping standards. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: + Associate Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. + Ability to handle financial tasks with a strong sense of urgency and effective prioritization skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred. + Knowledge of state seed certification standards is a plus.
