Job DetailsJob Location Admin Office Troy - Troy, MI Job Category Accounting Description The Accounting Clerk will assist with various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within the company We will be accepting all internal applications until Tuesday, August 6th.Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for proper filing, scanning, and organization of all financial documents within the organization. This includes invoices, receipts, statements, and other relevant financial records.
  • Operate a computer and navigate software programs for data entry and analysis, ensuring accessibility in financial record-keeping.
  • Full-time on-site attendance required and this position may require the individual to sit for long periods of time.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain physical filing systems for all financial documents; ensure that documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial records.
  • Coordinate with accounting team members to ensure that all documents are filed and organized according to established procedures. Communicate any discrepancies or issues with document filing or organization to the appropriate personnel.
  • Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable process; follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions; copy supporting documentation such as checks.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting principles, IRS regulations, and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Processes end of the month staff expenses through payroll system.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to learn multiple software's (Dynamics 365 Business Central, Paycom)
