Accounting Clerk *Full time or Part Time*Our client is looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their small family-owned business. An Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks within an organization. This position is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting department by performing clerical and administrative duties. The right candidate will have a pleasant demeanor and enjoys working as part of a team.
Responsibilities- Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, including invoices, receipts, and financial transactions.
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring proper approval and documentation, and prepare checks or electronic payments.
- Assist in generating invoices, monitoring accounts receivable, and following up on outstanding payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Financial Reports: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records.
- General Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and providing general support to the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills- An associate degree in accounting or 4-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data.
- Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Must have QuickBooks experience
Benefits/Compensation- Full Time or Part Time
- Pay Rate is $19-$21 depending on experience
- Shift: 1st
- Pay increase after probation period
