Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Richmond, Virginia. The chosen candidate will be a crucial part of our team, with responsibilities encompassing customer application processing, customer record maintenance, and resolving customer inquiries. This role will also involve monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.Responsibilities:- Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications- Maintain precise customer credit records- Conduct regular ledger and account reconciliations, ensuring complete accuracy- Manage invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments- Aid in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, interpreting, and summarizing account information- Perform bank reconciliations and handle discrepancies efficiently and effectively- Collaborate with the accounting team to carry out financial audits- Adhere to all legal standards and in-house policies to maintain the company's financial health- Assist with various financial transactions, including bank and account reconciliations- Perform daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable data. Requirements - Proficient in Account Reconciliation- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)- Familiarity with Billing procedures- Skilled in Data Entry tasks- Experience in Invoice Processing- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is required- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous- Excellent organizational skills- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities- Ability to work as part of a team- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills- A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
