Job Description:

This Accounting / Payroll Clerk position works in close collaboration with our operations, accounting, and human resources team members. This position is based in our Goldsboro office. Select Genetics presents a solid platform to serve customers on a national and international scale by providing quality poults, service, and innovation. Select Genetics is the leading supplier of turkey poults to growers and companies across the world.

  • Work with receiving, coding, and sending invoices to our accounting department.
  • Provides weekly reporting to management on production bonus and timecard data.
  • Manages the production bonuses process, including entering Payroll Bonus Change forms, and uploading weekly bonus data to HR system. As well as, responsible for investigating and correcting any errors that occur.
  • Create and Send Weekly Feed Purchases report to Service Techs.
  • Update and Maintain Goldsboro Contract Grower Payment Schedule and Supplemental Grower Payment Request.
  • Gas Fleet Card Administrator for NC locations
  • Assist on Fixed Asset Audits in NC locations
  • Breeder Flock Data Entry for our production system - Mtech. Enter Weekly Field Transactions for NC locations including Wadesboro Contract farms.
  • Work with Raeford and Goldsboro Warehouse on maintaining their inventory
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English.
  • Proficient in computer-based systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and judgement skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication English skills required.
  • Demonstrate sound ethical decision making.
  • Ability to model core values as a representative of the Select Genetics.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service with Select Genetics customers, employees, and the public.
  • Ensures confidentiality with Select Genetics and staff members.
  • Must be self-motivated and well organized with extreme attention to detail.
  • Associate degree in business or related field; or related-work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in software systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ideal candidates demonstrate an exceptional attention to detail and can prioritize and adapt in a variety of situations.
  • Must have a customer-service orientation; excellent communications skills; ability to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate will have high energy, enjoy fast work pace, and bring a sense of collaboration and fun to our team.
Additional required skills and abilities include someone who has a keen eye for detail, works regularly with Excel and various databases, has an inquisitive and problem-solving nature, and is experienced with general bookkeeping and timecard/timekeeping practices.
