Accounting Clerk Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong focus on invoicing to join our dynamic finance team at [Construction Company Name]. Accounting Clerk Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices for projects, ensuring all billing details are accurate and compliant with company standards.
  • Manage job costing by tracking project expenses, labor costs, and materials to provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies, working closely with project managers and vendors.
  • Maintain detailed records of invoices, payments, and receipts in the accounting system.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports related to invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track project budgets and expenditures, providing timely updates on billing status.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing necessary reconciliations and reports.
  • Support the accounting team with other financial tasks as needed, including data entry, filing, and administrative duties.

Accounting Clerk Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially related to invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
