Job Type Full-time Description Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Executive Director, provide high-level accounting support to the programs and reporting functions of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma by ensuring all accounting information is delivered timely and accurately to appropriate parties, handling information requests, researching and timely resolving any discrepancies or problems of accuracy or timeliness between original accounting source information and the electronic records, and other accounting or information delivery information duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary accounting coordinator between the Executive Director, the external CPA firm, program managers and directors, and the Tribal Business Committee.
- Sort and distribute incoming accounting correspondence, including faxes and email.
- Collect, file and retrieve tribal accounting documents, records, and reports.
- Prepare and maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly accounting calendars
- Communicate weekly updates to the accounting calendar to all stakeholders to include outstanding items, their respective due dates, and any other emergency-related items
- Act as the office expert and resource in communicating Accounting Process and Procedures
- Provide information to Directors, co-workers, and administrative staff by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Maintain executive confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Take minutes and distribute the result of any accounting-related meetings to all related stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred but not required: Five years of office experience or equivalent college or business training.

- Paid Time Off (PTO) cannot be utilized during the summer blackout period, beginning with the second full week of June and ending after the first full week of July.
