Job Title: Accounting CoordinatorJob Description:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, experience with Sage Intacct, and a keen eye for accuracy. This role offers the potential for contract-to-permanent employment and an opportunity to grow within the organization.Responsibilities:Prepare, compile, enter, and sort documents for data entry in Sage IntacctCheck source documents for accuracyVerify and correct data where necessaryObtain further information for incomplete documentsUpdate data and filesCombine and rearrange data from source documents when requiredEssential Skills:Data entryAccountingSage IntacctExcel (basic functions, strong knowledge required)ReconciliationMicrosoft OfficeClericalTypingAttention to detail with large spreadsheetsExperience with Sage Intacct budget entry (mandatory)Proven data entry work experience (mandatory)Ability to multi-taskFamiliarity with administrative dutiesTyping speed and accuracyExcellent knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuationConfidentialityOrganizational skillsAbility to stay focused on assigned tasksHigh school diplomaAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Additional certification or Degree in Accounting/Finance is preferableExperience in grant management is an assetAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWork Environment:This role reports to the Director of Grants and Contracts and the Controller, and is part of the finance team. The position requires onsite presence one day a week with the finance team typically going in on Wednesday or Thursday.
