As The Components People, we are the leading supplier of a wide range of products and components for all areas of life, including mattress springs and carpet cushion, as well as bedding machinery and erosion-control products.This position will assist and report directly to the Senior Plant Accountant and will have the following responsibilities:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Compile payroll data such as hours worked from time records and verify accuracy of payrollAssist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable dutiesProcess Credit/Debit MemosAssist with month end closing entriesProvide clerical support and maintain employee files and recordsAssist associates with a variety of questions: health benefits information, direct deposit informationReceive and process inbound telephone callsGreet and process all visitorsAssist with other duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with ability to learn new software systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externallyDetail oriented individual with excellent organizational, analytical, and statistical skillsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school graduate or equivalent; college degree desirableTwo to three years of experience in finance or accountingOur Commitment to You:We're actively taking steps to make sure our culture is inclusive and that our processes and practices promote equity for all.
