Job Description
The Accounting and ERP Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between accounting functions and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing ERP software to ensure smooth integration with financial processes and accurate data flow across the organization. The specialist will work closely with finance and IT teams to maintain system functionality, streamline financial reporting, and improve operational efficiency. Additionally, the role supports key accounting activities such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage financial tasks within Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Perform reconciliation of accounts, including bank statements and credit card statements.
- Prepare and review balance sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Contact vendors for statements, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot financial issues, acting as a problem solver to resolve issues efficiently.
Work Experience
The preferred candidate might:
- Have extensive experience in managing and optimizing ERP systems, ensuring seamless integration with financial and operational data.
- Be proficient in various ERP software platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and have a deep understanding of their functionalities.
- Possess a solid background in accounting principles and financial reporting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot system issues and recommend process improvements.
- Be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, providing training and support to end users across departments.
- Be familiar with financial data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to generate insightful reports and dashboards.
- Have the ability to maintain data security, ensuring that user access and permissions are appropriately managed within the ERP system.
