Job Type Internship Description BST's goal of providing an internship experience is to help students learn more about daily tasks and activities of an Associate at our Firm. Internship duties may include shadowing department staff members, assisting with the financial report preparation process or learning to track and analyze financial information. This is a paid internship opportunity.We welcome applications all year and typically engage in the interview process 1-2 semesters prior to the internship term. Fall (September - December)

Essential Job Functions • Shadowing members of the department as they perform their duties, including travel to client sites • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records • Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents • Working with bookkeeping software • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity • Learning how to work as part of the team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations Requirements • Must be actively working towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Business or Taxation • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus • Experience with VITA is a plus • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility • Detailed-oriented and organized • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible Salary Description $20/hour
