Position Summary

The Accounting Manager plans, directs, and manages all aspects of financial, accounting, purchasing and internal control functions for the management team by performing the following duties.

This role pays a yearly salary of $50,000 to $60,000.

This position will remain open until December 31, 2024.

About the Venue

This position is based at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee, OK. The 52 acre complex is only 40 minutes from the intersection of I-40 and I-35, the crossroads of America. It includes an outdoor arena seating 7,500. A 19,200 square foot indoor arena seating 1,000. Also, 152,400 square feet of total exhibit space. 366, 50-amp full hook up RV sites. Fout comfort stations containing showers, washer and dryers and restrooms. There is also 133 additonal 50-amp spaces and 296 addtional 30-amp spaces with water and eletric only.

Responsibilities

* Perform all general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

* Supervise, direct and develop the Administrative Assistant.

* Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.

* Oversee Box Office cash handling procedures and verify bank statements against daily deposits.

* Prepare bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees.

* Perform account and bank reconciliations.

* Prepare event settlements and generate account transfers or check payments.

* Prepare monthly financial statements.

* Assist General Manager with budget preparation, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, public or business administration or a related field required; CPA preferred.

* Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Arena/Hotel/Convention Center accounting experience required.

* May require working beyond normal business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays based on event calendar.

* Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.

* Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.

* Knowledge of MAS 200 preferred, or similar accounting software.

* Prior supervisory responsibility preferred.
