Job Description:
Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Medford, OR. As Accounting Manager, you will support the Regional Controller in managing financial operations for the Medford site. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The role will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting and will support site leadership as first point of contact for all accounting matters. Primary Responsibilities: Job duties are as follows, but not limited to:
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to include assisting in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Will lead month end close for the site.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and ensure proper classification within financial statements to enable proper tracking, trending and reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by collaborating with departments to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts. Track performance against budgets and provide analysis on deviations.
  • Assist the Regional Controller & Accounting Clerk with maintaining the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and collections.
  • Assist with inventory and cost controls to include monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs and identify areas for improvement. Support cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations and support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving financial systems and processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT and finance teams to resolve system issues.
  • Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required by management.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Supply Chain, HR) to support financial planning and analysis and provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting or finance,. Manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
