We are a dynamic and innovative construction company dedicated to delivering exceptional projects. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Controller/Accounting Manager to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
- Accounting and Reporting:
- Supervise the accounting team and ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate audits and tax returns.
- Contract Management:
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms.
- Manage contract variations and claims.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or financial management.
- Strong understanding of construction industry accounting practices and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
