Accounting Manager Meridian, ID (Hybrid)
Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager will play a high-impact role, working cross-functionally to manage complex technical accounting issues related to revenue, M&A, and compliance. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex technical accounting issues (revenue, M&A, ad hoc transactions) and document positions in memorandums
- Collaborate with FP&A, tax, legal, product, and operations teams to provide accounting guidance
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Stay updated on new accounting pronouncements and ensure compliance with US and international laws
- Liaise with external auditors and tax preparers
- Supervise AR, AP, and general accounting to ensure US GAAP adherence
- Assist M&A team with post-acquisition activities (balance sheets, valuations, tech stack integration)
- Handle sales & use tax returns and monitor state physical and economic nexus
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA or Masters degree preferred
- Expertise in ASC 606 and ASC 805 (M&A)
- Experience with multi-company, multi-currency organizations
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
- Prior experience in accounting advisory or a technical accounting role
- Strong communication and leadership skills
