Telarus offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits plan including 401k with matching and flexible PTO.Job Summary:The Accounting Manager will handle a broad range of accounting functions including month end close, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, developing and managing accounting staff, processes improvements, implementing new controls, and financial statement analysis. The position requires an individual who has strong problem-solving skills, the ability to identify obstacles or issues, dedication, and willingness to meet hard deadlines. The individual in this role must be able to work both independently and in a team environment to develop and propose solutions. The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller and will work closely with the accounting and finance teams.Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Month end close, heavy GL
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy & completeness
  • Journal entry preparation and entry
  • Monthly accrual and deferral entries
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation and analysis
  • Capital Accounting
  • Supervise accounting staff
  • Work with accounting staff to develop skills, set goals, and maintain strong relationships
  • Implementing new processes and controls
  • Oversee AR & AP to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Reporting monthly results to finance leadership
  • Support with Annual Audits
  • Support the controller on special projects and process improvement
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or another related field
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, judgement, and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, other Microsoft Office Programs, and general computer skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Must be able to work as a flexible team player to achieve accounting goals and ability to continually adapt to changes that accompany a fast-growing business
  • High level of organization and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization
  • Must be able to work independently
  • NetSuite Experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, and strong attention to detail
  • High energy individual with strong work ethic
