Kavaliro's client is seeking an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller in Leesburg, FL for a temporary 6 month contract. Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Distribute monthly financial reports, financial statements, and bank reconciliations, as well as any supporting documents.
- Manage operations including payroll, AP/AR, general cashiering, taxes and internal controls
- Review financial information to ensure compliance with established procedures and accounting principles.
- Research open accounting issues in a timely manner and recognize potential issues and/or discrepancies.
- Prepare all aspects of financial statement reports for a portfolio of design projects and service contracts, and for the corporate office.
- Provide accounting services/support for various internal functions (e.g., accounts receivable/payable, payroll)
Qualifications :
- 5+ years experience in Accounting
- Experience in Higher Education, K-12, or State/Local Government
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Ellucian Banner knwoledge preferred
- Strong MS Excel
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's in Accounting/Finance/Business preferred
