Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to analyze information, and confidentiality are key characteristics of this position. Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Oversight of accounts receivable collections with attorneys and clients.
- Perform various account reconciliations.
- Daily Interaction with accounting clerks to meet deadlines.
- Assist in consolidation of accounts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the billing function.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with members of the finance team and other departments.
- Ensures effective internal financial controls.
- Support other departments within the firm.
- Travel to other regional offices, anticipated 10%.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Our ideal Accounting Manager will have:
- A positive professional attitude in all aspects of the role and taking ownership responsibility.
- 3-5 years' experience as an accounting manager, or increased responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with law firm billing system. ProLaw a plus but not required.
- High accuracy rate and strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong professional communication skills, both oral and written
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to complete projects with little direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and supervise staff.
- Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information.
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products.
Salary range DOE: $60,000-$80,000.00 /yearThe pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for.
