From your PASSION to ours As a key member of the plant management and accounting team, this role oversees financial reporting and analysis for the Nampa site. Responsibilities include managing the monthly financial close, weekly KPI reports, and accounts payable. The Accounting Manager will also lead annual budgeting, set manufacturing cost standards, and oversee fixed asset management. Additionally, they manage on-site retail sales and serve as a liaison with corporate finance. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: • Sets up and monitors various reports and systems which measure the performance of the plant. • Works closely with the Plant Directors to improve the Plant operational and financial results. • Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant, working closely with Plant Directors to set financial goals and operational targets. • Works closely with Corporate Accounting Department on a wide variety of activities to improve effectiveness. • Establish and maintain accurate manufacturing cost standards, ensuring that cost controls are in place across raw materials, production, warehousing, and distribution. • Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements and operational efficiencies. • Conduct variance analysis between standard costs and actual performance, providing detailed explanations for deviations and suggest corrective actions. • Monitor and report on production costs, inventory levels, and waste reduction efforts to improve profitability. • Oversee the fixed asset management process, including tracking asset purchases, depreciation, and capital expenditures. • Manage capital investment projects, working with the operations team to ensure appropriate financial control. • Ensure the communication of the department targets and the monthly results to his /her staff. • Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and well-being of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company's overall performance and success. • Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required. • This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. • To fulfill these responsibilities, tools such as a computer, phone, and/or allowance(s) may be provided. • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field preferred. Years of experience required • 5 - 6 years experience in a manufacturing environment Skills / Abilities / Specialized Knowledge • Cost Accounting Principles and an understanding of standard costing and variance analysis. A strong understanding of financial controls in a manufacturing environment. • Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP • AS400 experience helpful • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights Lactalis is an equal employment opportunity employer.
