Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
+ Oversee the General Accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Fixed Assets, and Lease Accounting.
+ Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control policies.
+ Supervise and support the Accounting, A/P, and A/R teams, providing backup as needed.
+ Develop team members through performance management, training, and fostering strong employee relationships.
+ Manage Sales & Use Tax Return filings.
+ Generate monthly A/R metrics reports.
+ Assist the VP with monthly and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial statement generation.
+ Handle Fixed Asset accounting and reporting.
+ Collaborate with the VP to develop departmental goals and update internal control policies and procedures.
+ Manage the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, and collections.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience preferred.
+ Proficiency in General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
+ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Sage Fixed Assets is a plus.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
+ Strong knowledge of MS Office suite.
