Position Summary
The Accounting Manager ensures the accuracy of ledgers and financial reporting; guides assigned locations/departments with budgeting and forecasting; and mentors other finance department staff.

Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
- Maintain accurate ledgers, financial reporting, and budgeting (25%).
- Prepare timely financial statements and assist with budgeting, including assisting with preparation of consolidated financial statements (25%).
- Review and approve budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions of assigned departments/locations (15%).
- Act as a resource regarding complex financial transactions and reporting/tracking of funding (15%).
- Support and guide assigned departments/locations with understanding/monitoring financial matters and forecasting (10%).
- Develop and maintain internal accounting procedure manual (10%).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. In lieu of degree, relevant experience may be considered.
- Five years of accounting experience required, non-profit accounting experience highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license, meet MVR driver's qualifications, and pass background checks.

Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds at a time.
- Competency with PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe, General Ledgers, and standard office equipment required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, and work in person or on the phone for reasonable periods.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Mentor and guide accounting staff; including reviewing work and providing training.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel by agency or personal vehicle may be necessary.
